Serving as the Chief of Orthopedics for Anne Arundel Medical Center, Dr. Garth R. Smith is viewed as one of the most respected Adult and Pediatric Hand and Elbow Surgeon. Dr. Garth Smith attended John Hopkins University Medical School and completed his Surgical Internship at Stanford University. He then traveled to New York City and to continue his orthopaedic training at The Hospital for Special Surgery Cornell Medical Center, ranked among the top Orthopedic Hospitals in the country for the past 26 years. While in New York City, Dr. Garth Smith further specialized in Microvascular Surgery and Research by participating in Columbia University’s Program. Following New York, Dr. Garth Smith was selected to complete his Adult and Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship with the Harvard Medical School affiliate, Brigham and Women’s Hospital along with Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Garth Smith has been with the practice for over 20 years.
